Three Ring Gardens is a vision to transform 2.5 acres of vacant land into a community green space and urban agriculture program for the benefit of over 800 low-income residents, an alternative high school, and over 32,000 area residents.
Initiated by students from Gordon Parks High School, Floodplain Collective worked to envision the ideas set forth by the students and the surrounding community. Documents prepared were used by leadership at Gordon Parks High School to gain traction around the idea, apply for funding, and move the vision into reality.
